Grants of up to $25,000 to Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for activities in the areas of economic development and education. Priority is given to impactful projects that support disadvantaged communities and to proposals from smaller organizations. The purpose of the program is to foster economic independence. Requests will be accepted from qualifying applicants that serve the Washington, DC Metro Area.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International robotics teams associated with schools or nonprofit organizations in multiple states and provinces to participate in youth STEM contests. Funding is intended for programs that address community needs and that have an impact on at least one of the following areas: housing, education, mental health, and childcare. Proposed programs and services must principally benefit low- and moderate-income individuals and families residing in Staunton, Waynesboro, or Augusta County.

Grants to USA and territories nonprofit and for-profit organizations, IHEs, government entities, and health centers to improve the delivery of social and health services to underserved populations. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete.

Grants of up to $60,000 to USA, Canada, and International faculty members at IHEs to support academic research in computer science and related fields. The purpose of the program is to support early-career researchers for one year of work on a research project in fields that include, but are not limited to, machine perception, human-computer interaction, quantum computing, and networking systems. Requests will be accepted from full-time professors, associates, and assistants at universities and degree-granting research institutions around the world.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA journalists to cover costs incurred while researching and writing groundbreaking stories. Prior to submitting an application, applicants must obtain a commitment letter for publication of the proposed story in a U.S. media outlet. Funding is intended for expenses including equipment rental, document collection, and travel. Requests for small stipends will also be considered.

Tax credits to USA businesses to encourage business expansion and relocation to California. The purpose of this program is to support employment and economic development in the State of California. This program is open to businesses of any size that want to stay and grow in California or move to California.
