THE PURPOSE OF THE MILNER AWARD, INC. IS TO FOSTER IN CHILDREN A LIFELONG LOVE OF READING. IN 2021, THE MILNER AWARD PROVIDED TWO BOOKS TO EACH OF 500 4TH GRADE STUDENTS AT TITLE I SCHOOLS IN THE ATLANTA AREA, WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ANOTHER NONPROFIT, PAGE TURNERS MAKE GREAT LEARNERS. STUDENTS READ AND DISCUSSED THE BOOKS IN THEIR CLASSROOMS AS PART OF A NEW READ2VOTE CAMPAIGN THE MILNER AWARD LAUNCHED (WHICH CULMINATED IN THE VOTED-ON AUTHOR PRESENTATION TO STUDENTS IN SPRING 2022).
